black clay candle
Each candle is handmade on the potters wheel. Once the clay has hardened they are trimmed for uniformity and a foot ring is carved in. The black stoneware clay is fired once and then twice dipped in a white glaze for a landscape-like finish. The final glaze firing brings out the darkness of the black clay.
The candle is made using soy candle flakes. When the candle is finished it can be used as a little plant pot or refill with melted candle wax.
